Prep
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper for easy setting and cleanup.
- Melt the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
Dip and decorate
- Dip each pretzel rod about two-thirds of the way into the melted white chocolate, twirling to coat evenly and letting excess drip off.
- Immediately roll the dipped end in red sprinkles, blue sprinkles, or white sanding sugar, working in sections to create a striped look across the batch.
Set and store
- Lay the finished rods flat on the parchment paper and let set at room temperature for 15–20 minutes.
- If you want to speed up setting, place them in the fridge for 10 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Notes
Pro tip: Work in small sections—once the chocolate cools it thickens and the sprinkles won’t stick as well. Store airtight at room temperature for up to 1 week; refrigerating may slightly soften the coating. Freezer: no, sprinkles and sanding sugar can lose texture after thawing. Dietary swap: use dairy-free white chocolate melting wafers for a dairy-free version (follow package melting directions).
