Method
Make the funfetti dip
- Beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then beat until fully combined and creamy.
- Fold in the dry white funfetti cake mix until no streaks remain, which thickens the dip and boosts the funfetti flavor.
- Gently fold in half of the red, white, and blue sprinkles, reserving the rest for topping.
Serve
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and top with the remaining sprinkles.
- Serve immediately with graham crackers, sliced apples, or strawberries, or chill in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes
Pro tip: make sure the cream cheese and butter are fully softened for a smooth, lump-free base before you add the cake mix. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days (do not freeze for best texture). If you want a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and swap in a no-sugar-added vanilla cake mix for a similar flavor with less sugar.
