Ingredients

Watermelon Fries
  • 6 cup watermelon Cut into fry-shaped sticks.
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice Juice from fresh limes.
  • 1 tbsp chili lime seasoning Such as Tajín.
  • 0.25 cup crumbled cotija cheese Optional topping.
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro Chopped, for serving.

Method

Arrange and Season
  1. Arrange the watermelon sticks on a large platter.
  2. Drizzle the fresh lime juice evenly over the sticks.
  3. Sprinkle the chili lime seasoning generously over the surface so the sticks are well coated.
  4. Top with the crumbled cotija cheese if using.
  5. Garnish with the chopped fresh cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately to keep the watermelon fries juicy and at their best texture.

Notes

For the most flavorful coating, sprinkle chili lime seasoning right after adding lime juice so it clings to the wet surfaces. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 1 day, though they may soften. Freezing is not recommended for texture. For a dairy-free option, skip the cotija cheese and add an extra pinch of chili lime seasoning instead.
